Project Overview
Music Minds is a passion project that I created by combining two things that mean a lot to me: music and therapy. I recognized that something is currently missing within the music therapy space which is a place where resources can be gathered for both people who attend this kind of therapy and also the therapists themselves. Once realizing this I decided to make a concept brand/therapy service and Music Minds was born! For this project, I created an identity design and also promotional materials for a campaign. This included social media motion graphics, outdoor advertising, an app, a website, and outdoor posters.
Identity Design
Social Media Campaign
This social media campaign was based on the tagline “Your Music Your World” which is meant to communicate that music can help transport people into a place they feel safe. Visually, this was shown through a person in an everyday situation being “transported” into different backgrounds that can be considered calming. From these posts I created animated ads that would be used to promote the brand on various social media platforms.
Outdoor Advertisements
For the outdoor ads I continued with the concept of being transported into your own world through music and expressed that by creating a lenticular poster that would change based on whatever side you looked at it from. I also created a motion graphic juke box that would go in places like a mall or an airport where you can choose a song based on a calming background.
Website and App Design
Part of creating Music Minds entailed designing an app and website. The app was meant to be a therapy aid tool where people could create playlists that included songs from all their subscriptions - Youtube, Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, etc. It also has a feature where you can create or edit your own music as well as an annotation feature to analyzie and document relateble song lyrics. The website was meant to house the actual online therapy service and provide resources to both clients and therapists.
