Project Overview
While freelancing for the company, Evergreen Entertainment, I’ve been able to create design work for various musicians. Among them have been artists like Sasha Atlas, DNJNBBY, and Kayla Thompson. I feel that these cover designs show off my versatility, creativity, and ability to work with artists to execute their vision.
Sasha Atlas
I’ve made two single artworks for the musician Sasha Atlas, one for her song “HOWL” and the other for “NY, It Was Fun”. For “HOWL” Sasha asked that I illustrate a spooky scene based on the lyrical content of the song. I created the illustration on Procreate and exported it into Photoshop to add her logo and typography. “NY, It Was Fun” had a completely different vibe and the artist wanted a grunge-y collage about New York. I created the design in Photoshop with overlays and effects to achieve the final look. You can find the official artwork on Sasha’s Spotify page here.
DNJNBBY
I’ve made two single artworks for the artist DNJNBBY (Jenna), one for her song “NOT UR DBJNBBY” and the other for “Do It To Me”. Something I find important is to bring a unique flair to my designs. One of the ways I did this was by illustrating the icons in the background of the “NOT UR DNJNBBY” cover. The ”Do It To Me” title was also custom type I made specifically for Jenna and I 3D modeled it as well. You can find the official artwork on Jenna’s Spotify page here.
Kayla Thompson
An artist I work with, Kayla Thompson, hired me to make individual track covers for each song off of her new EP “A Shot In The Dark”. She showed me inspiration images of designs from artists like Sabrina Carpenter and Gracie Abrams. After agreeing on a Polaroid picture concept I brought my images into Photoshop and created the album covers seen below. You can find these designs on her Instagram.
